Swindon Youth Fest 2011

Swindon's M.E.C.A. hosts this year's Youth Fest on Saturday 22 October.

This is a Swindon event aimed at 13-19 year olds enabling our young people to demonstrate their talents, have fun, gain awareness about health, education, training, clubs and activities, whilst promoting and exploring the finer side of local youth culture.

Youth Fest 2011 starts with a FREE event from 12.00 - 5.00pm with stalls, live music, performers and refreshments.

This is then followed by a TICKETED event from 6.30 - 11.00pm with music from many talented local bands and DJ's. Refreshments will be available.



The event is being organised, planned, designed and delivered by young people and funded jointly by Swindon Borough Council and through ticket sales to the evening event.

No alcohol will be permitted.

Admission to the evening festival area itself will be limited to 13-19 year olds.

Tickets: £2.00 - Available from Holmes Music, Blue Banana shop, the Link Centre West Swindon and possibly some other places in the near future.

Disabled access will be available but strobe lighting will be used in the evening event.
