Once again a bumper crowd gathered in the market square to enjoy the switching-on of the Christmas lights, plus music from the Highworth Silver band, mince pies, fairground rides, carol singing and even an appearance from Santa on his sleigh!
The lights themselves were switched on two pupils from Southfield School, who won a poem competition.
