Swindon Puja 2014

A day of music, dance, food & festivities at The Platform to celebrate Saraswati

The first Swindon Saraswati Puja took place last year with music, dance and much celebration at The Platform.

And in 2014 there was a day-long programme of festivities again.

Puja is widely commemorated with festivals in Bangladesh & Indian and is the most significant socio-cultural event in Bengali society.

"It's been another wonderful celebration," said Sujan Saha, Festival Cultural Secretary, who supplied these images.

"This is a very big day for the Bangali community and I hope everyone had a lovely time and bonded more with the cause and the festive spirit. Special thanks must please go to Mr Swapan Roy, Ripon Saha, Biplob Das, Avijit Debnath, Sazu Saha, Methun Roy, Raju, Rajib, Jogonnath, Supon and others for their assiduous support."
