George Groves in Swindon
World Title Contender packs a punch at The Sun in aid of Sebastian Murtough
SWTV INTERVIEW
He's currently in training for the biggest fight in British boxing history but George Groves took time out on Saturday 01 March for a very good local cause.
The World Super-Middleweight contender, who is trained in Swindon by Paddy Fitzpatrick, was at The Sun pub at Coate Water to help raise money for Sebastian Murtough, a 19-month old cancer sufferer.
For a small fee he signed autographs and posed for pictures, with all money going to help the young boy with his life-saving treatment.
There was also big a charity auction with a chance to win a training camp weekend with Paddy Fitzpatrick.
Interview
We luckily caught a word with both George & Paddy to ask how preparations are going ahead of the big fight in 12 weeks time.
Froch Rematch
On 31 May, Groves will step back into the ring to face Carl Froch, who controversially defeated him last November for the World Super-Middleweight title, in what is widely tipped to be the biggest grossing fight in British boxing history.
Groves, aided by Paddy Fitzpatrick, successfully appealled the first bout decision with the IBF, who ordered the re-match.
