Abbey Farewell Meeting
Celebrate a glorious era at this special night at The Abbey Stadium
The Abbey Stadium, Swindon
Sunday 11 October 2015, 4.00 Start (Gates Open 2.30pm)
Speedway are gearing up for the end of an era ahead of their move to a new stadium at some point early in the 2016 season.
The event will start with the 150cc British Youth Final on the small track inside the main circuit at 4pm.
A parade of riders, past and present, will then take place at 5pm and those Robins who have passed away will be honoured with their names displayed on the scoreboard.
Firework display
There will also be a number of other extra races and a firework display to round off proceedings.
Club owner Terry Russell commented "
We want this to be a superb night of entertainment between 4-7pm and we feel it appropriate to take a few moments to remember the Robins riders who have passed away.
“It is the end of an era and we want to see the place packed. We have also pegged admission prices at our normal level.”
