It's raining. It's pouring. But who cares? It's Christmas!

A bumper crowd braved the rain to gather in the Market Square to enjoy the switching-on of the Christmas lights, plus music from the Highworth Silver band, mince pies, fairground rides, carol singing and even an appearance from Santa on his sleigh!

This year, pupils from Eastrop Infant School read prayers before pressing the button alongside the Highworth mayor, Pauline Webster, and the vicar, Geoff Sowden.
