Hundreds flock to the BBC Antiques Roadshow in Swindon

 

Glassware, pottery, paintings and the expected big pieces of furniture have all been taking pride of place at the STEAM museum today for the visit of the BBC Antiques Roadshow.

 

The queue of people all eager to show off their treasured pocessions to a expert having started as early as 8 o'clock.

 

Some just curious as to how old their items might be - and of course how much they might be worth - with just a lucky few actually enjoying a valuation filmed for the programme.

 

SwindonWeb even caught up with the show's presenter Fiona Bruce, who was delighted so many people had turned up to the museum to enjoy what was clearly an ideal venue for the programme.

 

The Swindon edition filmed today is expected to be broadcast on BBC1 in the Autumn.
