Another 'Knockout' for Swindon

It was another 'Big Weekend' at Lydiard Park - but this time it was for sports fans.

 

Swindon’s Festival of Sport once again got businesses from across town taking part in activities ranging from frisbee throwing to five-a-side football. All enjoyed on the hottest day of the year so far.

 

 

And this year introduced the TV classic, 'It’s A Knockout', where teams frantically climbed up, over, and through inflatables, and other wacky obstacles, to beat their competitors down the course.

Lydiard Park also hosted tag rugby, men’s football 6’s, ladies football 5’s, volleyball and a taster sessions for archery, orienteering and ultimate Frisbee.

Anglers of all ages were able to cast their lines for the catch of the day at Peatmoor Lagoon, and netball and boccia players took aim at Dorcan Recreation Complex, while Squash, Badminton and tennis players had their rackets at the ready at Croft Sport Centre and St Marks.
