A Winter walk for the whole family

Make the most of those cold crisp days and help raise money for charity

Prospect Hospice is looking for people to join them for a four mile family walk in the Great Western Community Forest, a wonderful new woodland where visitors can feel the peace and quiet of the countryside without being too far from home.

It is an opportunity to remember a friend or loved one, or simply to enjoy a scenic walk in aid of the Hospice.

Winter Walk

The walk will start at 10.00am outside the Roves Farm Visitors Centre. From there you’ll head for Nightingale Wood, a haven for many species of wildlife, where you might spy hares, foxes and roe deer.

On leaving the wood you’ll be back onto farmland, following the route along the River Cole back to the Visitors Centre where there will be a hot drink waiting for you.

The walk will take just under two hours and will be led by Patrick Norris from the Great Western Community Forest who will be pointing out things of interest along the route.

If you are interested in taking part then please register now by contact the fundraising team on 01793 815142 or e-mail hayleymillin@prospect-hopsice.net

Registration fee £8.00 per adult, £2.00 for under 16’s
