Films galore in the Around the World in 80 Hours theme

From Thursday 8 April to Sunday 11 April Swindon Film Festival will be showing a variety of films in their theme of "AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 HOURS".

They want you to celebrate, through film, the extraordinary and fascinating diversity of the world we live in, and perhaps reflect a little on some of the pressures facing us all today.

The festival will begin at 1 o’clock on Thursday 8th in the centre of Swindon, with an exciting afternoon of films for children and families on the Big Screen, and all sorts of events and entertainment in Wharf Green.

Some of the best-known family film characters will be there, as well as local favourites!

After the big send-off, you will be taken on some travels far and wide – Burma, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Senegal, India, Japan, and Antarctica are just some of the places on our route.

And you can watch some of the most recent and highly acclaimed films from around the world – the best in World Cinema!
