Swindon Festival of Literature 2010 - Cherie Blair

CHERIE BLAIR – speaking for herself, in conversation with Matt Holland, and with you!

Political history has many examples of women and wives living in the shadows of men. Cherie Blair is not one of them.

Barrister and QC, specialist in human rights law, and mother of four, Cherie Blair is well able to step out of the shadows and explain a few things, drawing on a wealth of real human experiences.

She is used to defending others and speaking on their behalf. Now, she speaks for herself!

Newly-published in paperback, her fascinating autobiography, Speaking for Myself, explores family life, the British legal system, and ten years at number 10 Downing Street.

Hear her, question her, and meet her.

Following her hour on stage, Cherie will stay for book sales and signings at the on-site Waterstone’s stall, and a chance to meet readers.

Tickets for this event are £10, please contact the Wyvern Theatre for any further information.
