Maggie Humphreys, Les Snowdon, and Cheryl Heyne on Walking

MAGGIE HUMPHREYS, LES SNOWDON, and CHERYL HEYNE – on the wonders of WALKING, for health and well-being!

2pm – a short walk, for those who fancy it, followed by refreshments!

3pm – a talk on the joys and benefits of walking. Opportunity for questions.

‘The best thoughts come when the body is in motion, especially walking’ said one great writer.

Walking is wonderful. Whether strolling or striding out, walking is what we were made for. We see more, we hear more, and we can have a chat.

Also, after a good walk, a cup of tea tastes better than ever!

Les Snowdon and Maggie Humphreys, authors, walkers, and promoters of good health, have been at the forefront of initiatives in walking for fitness, weight-loss, and long-term health for more than twenty years. They have written bestselling books on walking.

Cheryl Heyne promotes walking for health and well-being in Swindon.

This event is FREE but you must book in advance to reserve your place.

Please check the Swindon Festival of Literature website for further information on this event.

N.B. Swindon will be holding its first Festival of Walking, 7th – 22nd May. Lots of different kinds of walks!

See www.challengeswindon.org.uk or phone Amanda Rothwell on 07866 418537.
