Sport Thought and Talk

SPORT THOUGHT & TALK

What lessons does success in sport offer us about life in general?

Why are the best figure skaters the ones who have fallen over most often?

What is Britain’s influence on the Olympic Games?

What are the 101 most infuriating things about sport?

Why are four men all called Matt addressing these questions?

MATTHEW SYED on sporting success.

Award-winning writer on both comment and sports pages of The Times newspaper, competed in two Olympics, was three times Commonwealth table tennis champion, and has a first class degree in PPE. His book is BOUNCE – the myth of talent and the power of practice .

MATT ROGAN on the Olympics.

An Olympic sports consultant, a speaker on sports and industry, and co-author of Britain and the Olympic Games.

MATTHEW NORMAN on being serious.

The journalist, broadcaster, and prize-winning restaurant reviewer, has written a book, You Cannot Be Serious!, which appears to have irritated Alan Sugar, Frank Warren, and David Pleat.

MATT HOLLAND on sport thoughts.

The tennis player, writer, and Literature lover, tries not to irritate anyone… He is co-editor of Paraguay200.
