Bonnie Greer

BONNIE GREER – on the value of contradiction.

What does it mean to contradict?

Do you mind being contradicted?

Who is allowed to contradict?

Do contradictions contradict convention?

Who finds contradictions threatening?

What good comes from contradicting?

Do you find contradictions in yourself?

African-American writer, jazzman, and civil rights campaigner, Langston Hughes, was a man of contradictions. He defied classification.

Bonnie Greer, award-winning author, playwright, writer for newspapers, and broadcaster, who hails from Chicago, gives an insight into his life and thoughts, the contradictions of his day, and the contradictions of ours.

DOUBLE TICKET - £10 for two events:

Martin Bell at 6.30pm and Bonny Greer at 8.00pm
