A new display in Lydiard House celebrating those odd Victorian inventions that paved the way for modern technology.

From bell ropes to candle snuffers, spoon cleaners to lace curlers… see some unique inventions for unusual problems and hear the stories of local inventors of amongst others, the watercycle, mobile milking parlour and ‘snog-o-meter’!

Normal admission to House & Walled Garden applies.

The grounds of Lydiard Park are open every day (except Christmas day) until dusk. Car parking and entry to grounds is free.
