Old Town Festival - 2007
The forecasters warned of a washout, but rain failed to completely stop play in Old Town this weekend.
The annual Old Town Festival parade and fair both taking place despite dark clouds and threats of heavy downpours - much to the delight of organisors and the large crowds who gathered to enjoy the day.

Even guest of honour, ITV presenter Wesley Smith, admitting: "I thought they'd be showers but we've been very lucky."
"The sun some how always seems to shine on the Old Town Festival, and some how it's managed to do it again!"
Community spirit
Over two thousand people venturing out throughout the day to be entertained by a midday street procession featuring local sports clubs and organisations, stilt walkers and groups in fancy dress, before moving onto the Lawn for the festival fair.

The smooth sound of jazz, provided by acts taking part in the Swindon Jazz Festival, adding to the party atmosphere.
The only disappointment of the day being the cancellation of events at the Old Town Bowl due to the heavy rainfall earlier in the week. The Saturday evening live music and Sunday afternoon summer fair both casulaties of one of Swindon's wettest June months in living memory.
