Dawn Chorus in Lawn woods |
You need to be up early to catch the Dawn Chorus crowd in Swindon.
Over a hundred people braving what were quite miserable conditions in Lawn woods on Monday morning to celebrate the sun rise at 5.30am.
The big moment arriving accompanied to pipes and singing; with poetry-telling, juggling and maypole dancing all adding to the atmosphere.
An event that for the last fifteen years has also marked the first day of the Swindon Festival of Literature - a two-week Swindon celebration of the written word organised by Matt Holland.
