Kids get creative at Flux

 

Creative talent: just one of the cartoons produced by the cartoon club

Students at Isambard Community School have been having fun this week creating and storyboarding characters in the Flux Mobile cartoon club.

Lead by professional illustrator Fred Blunt, children got to create cartoon characters that were unique to themselves.

”I have been amazed by the standard of work,” said Mr Blunt, “not only by the imaginative and original the characters are, but also how well conceived they have been.

”Over the course I have set some pretty tricky exercises, designed to push the children's visualisation skills as well as drawing. This hasn't fazed them at all, resulting in some really high quality work.”

Flux is an exciting arts project for young people and offers insight into making films, creating a web area, banner making workshops, rock school, puppet making and much more.
