Smashing good time in Swindon
Town centre tennis served up for Wanborough Junior School
It might not be the centre court at Wimbledon, but pupils from Wanborough Junior School have enjoyed a spot of tennis in Swindon town centre.
A smashing good time served up by inSwindon where tennis professionals from the nearby Next Generation sports and leisure club were on hand to give expert coaching and advice.
"The open space of wharf green ideal for the event," commented Simon Jackson, BID Company Chief Executive Officer, inSwindon.
"With Wimbledon playing on the BBC Big Screen we hope it will encourage those around the town to have a go."
So with all the ingredients for the perfect day for tennis - strawberries and cream; the BBC big screen showing action from Wimbledon; and youngsters clearly enjoying their chance to emulate Andy Murray, who knows?...
The next British Wimbledon champion might just come from Swindon.
