Volunteers go mad as hatters in aid of The Big Lunch
It may have looked like shoppers in Swindon had gone mad as hatters this weekend, but it was all in aid of the nationwide event The Big Lunch.
The Mad Hatter's Tea Party was set up by Swindon volunteer group 'vinvolved', who laid on a spread of appetising food and drink to tempt people in the town centre to take a minute to sit down and have a lunch together.
"It's all about being social and little bit spontaneous," said one of the organisers.
"But most of all it's about doing something to put a smile back on people's faces."
