Celebrity tee time
Celebrity golfers at The Wiltshire help raise £60K
Stars from showbiz and sport teed-off for a good cause today at The Wiltshire golf club in Wootton Bassett.
Celebrities such as Kenny Lynch, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Willie Thorne, Tiff Needel, 'Bungalow' Bill Wiggins and Town manager Danny Wilson all got their drivers and putters out to raise money for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation, which raises cash for stem cell research.
The 'voice of BBC golf' Peter Alliss was also on-hand to act as official starter on the first tee.
"Thank you to everyone who has given up their time today to play," said Eddie Shah, owner of The Wiltshire and organiser of the day.
"In three years, we've raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds for the Nicholls Foundation and we have big plans to make the event even bigger and better next year."
