Sir Charles Jasper, an acknowledged expert on the occult has arranged a birthday party for himself on the stage of a theatre that is reputed to be haunted.
If Sir Charles is alive at 11pm he will inherit £2 million from an uncle, but if he should die before then, his distant cousin Maurice Mullins will inherit instead!
