Alice Oswald, Christina Newton and the Battered Moons Poetry Competition

In the first half of the evening, results of the fourth Battered Moons Poetry Competition will be announced, with comments from judges, and the winners will be awarded their prizes. The three winning and four commended poets will then read their poems. 

In the second half, Battered Moon judge, poet, classicist, gardener, and mother, Eric Gregory Award and Forward Prize winner, author of six acclaimed and beautifully-titled collections, including The Thing in the Gap-Stone Stile, Woods etc., and Weeds and Wildflowers, Alice Oswald will read from her work.
