Prime Youth Theatre bring a play about Swindon to STEAM Museum

The name of our town is Swindon, Wiltshire. The year is 1901. And 1903. And 1913. And 2018. “This is the way we were and are: in our growing up and in our living and our dying.” Times have changed, but some things remain the same.

 

Inspired by Thornton Wilder’s classic play, Our Town, Prime Youth Theatre travel through time to tell the story of our community based on true accounts of Swindonians. This heartwarming play about ordinary people makes connections across the years and will make you fall in love with our town all over again.

 

This is Our Town will launch a six month Young Roots creative research project, supported by Heritage Lottery Fund in collaboration with our partners, STEAM Museum, Create Digital Studios, Swindon Local Studies, Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, and Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre.
