Last Night of the Proms 2014

Get your Bowler Hats and Union Jacks out in Wharf Green this September

Saturday 13 September 2014, 6.00 - 10.30PM

 

It is one of the world’s greatest musical events and a grand British tradition which combines stirring anthems, rampant flag waving, outrageous headwear and fancy dress and sing-a-longs to die for.

And once again, the colour, atmosphere and spirit of the Last Night of the Proms will be re-created in the heart of Swindon with a special event in Wharf Green.

 

The much awaited evening will begin at 6.00pm with pre-show entertainment from Nathan Jones and His All Star Jazz Band, before the live feed gets underway at 7.30pm. Swindon will also welcome Eleanor Williams to the stage at the half time interval.

 

 

Bring a flag - and a picnic!

Those attending are being encouraged to get into the swing of the spectacle by bringing hats, flags and even wear fancy dress if they want.
