Swindon Festival of Literature 2010 - Tariq Goddard
TARIQ GODDARD – on horror, more horror, and literary horror!Do you like to be scared by what you read?
Can a horror story be literary?
What aspects of life in the 1980s would make a good gothic tragedy?
Author of three books, all shortlisted for major literary prizes, experienced speaker on matters literary, musical, and philosophical, and a serious writer who is said to be re-inventing the horror genre, Tariq Goddard’s latest work is The Picture of Contented New Wealth.
Reckoned to be ‘very good, and very scary’, it is a literary, metaphysical novel that has ignited debate about matters as wide-ranging as theology and horror.
Tickets for this event are £5 (£4 concession).
