The seaside is coming to Swindon - 10 & 11 JULY

 

The seaside is coming to Swindon.

 

With all this lovely weather, why bother going to the seaside when the seaside can come to you.

 

This weekend on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July, Swindon Town Centre will be transformed into a buzzing seaside resort.

 

The weekend is organised by Steven Hill Funfairs in partnership with inSwindon, the town centre BID company and there will be lots of activities available for all the family throughout the weekend.

 

 

Activities include a Helter Skelter, Fun House, Carousel, Go Gator Rollercoaster, Punch and Judy and our very own giant sandpit. The sandpit will be located in Wharf Green alongside many of the other activities, and the sand has been brought in all the way from Weston Super-Mare.

 

The town will also see games including Hook a Duck and Roll Downs located along Canal Walk. All activities will be charged £1.50 per go.

 

Proper Cornish Kitchen on Havelock Street are also getting involved this weekend by running a pasty eating competition at Wharf Green on Saturday at 2.00pm.

 

You can register for this competition by going in-store for an application form. Havelock Street will also have live entertainment including a traditional Cornish band and a face painter.

 

So with the weather being as nice as it is, why not bring your bucket and spade to Swindon’s very own seaside resort this weekend between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
