Swindon Half-Marathon 2011

Pictures from Sunday's big race

 

Over 1,600 runners took part in the Swindon Half Marathon today with David Roper (pictured below) the overall winner of the big race in a time of 1hr 12mins 58ses.

 

Those taking part were encouraged to wear fancy dress in memory of BBC DJ and keen half-marathon supporter Sandy Martin who sadly died earlier this year. 

 

Now in its 8th year, the event, which also featured a 5 mile multi-terrain and 2 mile fun run, was officially started by Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio.
