Dropping into Swindon!
Parachute displays, tanks, assault courses and more celebrate Armed Forces Day in Swindon
Over three thousand people were entertained at the inSwindon Armed Forces Family Fun Day this weekend.
An event that started in grand style with a parachute display at 11am and continued with assault course action, tanks, armoured vehicles, military maneuvers, motorcycle displays, human table football, climbing walls, plus the usual fairground rides in free event in Faringdon Park.
Armed Forces Day is a national event, which recognises the work of all of Britain’s Armed Forces, and the Family Funday was the centrepiece of a week of celebrations in the town, promoted by inSwindon.
“We are delighted to do our bit to support Armed Forces Day," commented Simon Jackson, chief executive of inSwindon.
"We know local people feel strongly about supporting our Armed Forces, and it's day's like today that show we recognise the hard work they are doing for us.”
