'Oh Boy' what a great day! 

A Chocolate Theatre Society perform Buddy Holly songs for Swindon Cultural Festival
 
'Oh Boy' and 'That'll be the day' were just a few of the songs on offer at the start of inSwindon’s Cultural Festival at Wharf Green in Swindon Town Centre.
 
A Chocolate Theatre Society performed live songs from their recent hit musical “Buddy.”
 
 
"We didn't let the rain dampen our spirits," commented Suzy Johnson, Marketing and Events Officer, inSwindon.
 
"This is the start of our Cultural Festival which showcases local Swindon talent and provided opportunities to alternative groups to use Wharf Green as an events area."

Thursday 11 August
 
Further events have been planned for the summer as part of the Cultural Festival starting with a Film Festival on Thursday 11th August.
 
Come and enjoy the outdoor screening of Ponyo, an animated adventure centered on a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human, and Walt Disney's Up.
 
There will also be face painters, children’s entertainers and the Jungle Boogie Party Bus.
 
 
Thursday 18 August
 
Thursday 18th August, from 12.00pm to 4.00pm, inSwindon have partnered with Swindon Photographic Society as part of the Visual Arts Day.
 
Come along for some free advice and the guidance on technology that would suit your needs from industry specialists. If you think you have a creative eye then inSwindon is on the hunt for the Swindon’s best photographer. If you think you’ve got that one of a kind photo or want to get snap happy in a bid to win your photo mounted and framed by Swindon Photographic Society, just submit your photo to inSwindon by Friday 12th August. If you are a musician of any size from a solo pianist to string quartet then we want to hear from you! On Thursday 25th August, from 12.00pm to 2.00pm, inSwindon are inviting any local musicians to come take part in the fun.
 
 
inSwindon are looking for a mixture of entertainment, anything from classical to jazz or whether you play the flute or the violin please send across a link or a sample to sjohnson@inswindon.com by Friday 19th August.
