History of Regent Street

Residents are urged to look back over Swindon’s High Street History.
 
A pictorial history of Swindon’s Regent Street, a spin-off from the BBC’s High Street History programme, will be on display at the Town's Central Library.
 
The exhibition of photographs will feature both then and now pictures of Regent Street.

People are also asked to bring along any of their own pictures of shops in Regent Street which they would like to identify and then can be copied to add to the library’s collection.
 
Library staff will be on hand between 11am and 4.30pm to make copies of any photographs made available to add to the archive.
 
The event is being run in conjunction with the Friends of Moredon and Rodbourne Cheney Library.
