"Challenge Swindon is a great idea and I am pleased that golf is one of the sports on offer," commented David, "you don't have to be a pro to take part - the tournament is all about trying something new and having a good time."

Other sports that are on offer include: basketball, squash, swimming, hockey and football, which will take place at leisure venues across the borough.

Most of the activities are team events and there is something to suit adults of all abilities. For something new, beach volleyball, dragon boat racing, speed climbing and even kabbadi, a team sport from south Asia, are all part of the fun.
