Fairtrade fashion takes to the catwalk

 

Glitz, glam, and - fairtrade?!

 

It was a fashion show with a difference, as dozens of models took to the stage at St. Joseph's Catholic College on Wednesday evening, to promote fairtrade clothing.

 

Roaring trade: Fairtrade fashion show a real hit

 

The event was organised as part of Fairtrade Fortnight, which will run until Sunday. 

 

Barbara Aftelak, Chair of the Swindon Fairtrade Coalition, said: "You can dress in trendy clothes and feel good about it too, knowing that what you're wearing is stylish, affordable and respectful to people and the planet."
