J&M Flooring Now Covering More Than Just Swindon 

Family firm add to Old Town showroom with expansion to Malmesbury High Street

 

The high street certainly seems to be working for one fast-expanding family business.

Two years after opening their first shop in Wood Street, Old Town, J&M Flooring have now opened their second shop just down the road in Malmesbury.

 
"It's gone incredibly well for us in Swindon since we started," owner Michael, who runs J&M Flooring alongside his wife, Jennifer,
daughter, Becca, and soon-to-be son-in-law Ash, told us, "and when premises came up in the centre of Malmesbury we knew it felt right to open there too."

"The high street here is certainly on the up, and we couldn't have been made more welcome."

 

 
Michael, who has been working in the trade over 35 years, also believes their attention to customer service and continued focus
on a high street presence has been the key to their success.

 
"As in Old Town, people can pop-in and just talk to us and ask our advice," he added.

 
"Choosing the right flooring can be difficult at the best of times and not something we believe you can do properly over the internet.

 
"Both our showrooms stock an extensive range of carpets, vinyls, LVT, laminate and engineered wood flooring for the home where
our customers can get a real feel for the product. Add in our experience and fitting knowledge and we think we provide a quality service that's ideal for today's market."

 

Keeping it local

 
Not finished there, Michael also hinted that the J&M Flooring sign might also be appearing in another large Wiltshire town, but for now the family are concentrating on continuning to establish their two existing shops.

 

 
"Being on the high street is such an important part of our business, we don't see why it won't work elsewhere. But we won't be going far, as keeping things local is also essential for us maintaining our standards for fitting and customer service."
