Save Water Swindon
Save Water Swindon is a campaign by Thames Water, Waterwise and WWF with one aim - to help everyone in Swindon to use less water in the home.

The average Swindon resident uses 164 litres a day - nearly 10 per cent more than the current national average of 150.

Swindon is deemed as “seriously water-stressed" by the Environment Agency, where the demand for water risks outpacing supply.

The town's growing population is also putting an increasing strain on the town's main sources of water, the River Kennet and the River Thames.

So it's estimated that if each person in the household can save just 20 litres a day, the saving could be as much as 4 million litres of water a day in Swindon.
