"I just love meeting people and making them feel more beautiful," Joanna told us whe we visited her new brand-new hair and beauty salon in Commercial Road.

Aptly named Joanna's, the salon has only been open a week but the diary is already filling up with appointments for hair styling, colouring and extensions plus those looking for nail care, facials, massage and some serious pamper time.

"We offer the complete haircare and beauty treatment service here and it's going really well," Joanna added.

"I've worked all over Europe and in Miami, and I've tried to bring all the best bits of the last 21 years into this salon. It's bright, it's friendly and, most important, it's affordable."
