What A Grape Success at the Pear Tree! 

Wine made here in Swindon - we say cheers to that!
 
It was back in 2008 that Francis Young - owner of the Pear Tree in Purton - took the first steps towards creating his very own wine in the grounds of the hotel.

Four years on, and he can now finally enjoy the fruits of his labour (please excuse the pun), as the first bottles of wine come back from the pressers.
 
The choice is either Cuvee Anne or Cuvee Alix, both named after Francis's wife and daughter.

We popped down to The Pear Tree to speak to Francis and, of course, enjoy a glass with him of Swindon's finest!
