Then the Co-Wheels car club might be right up your street!

This social enterprise is being run in partnership with Swindon Borough Council in order to reduce the number of people who own cars, and reduce the number of single occupancy vehicle journeys.

 

Pay-As-You-Go Driving

Their key aims include reducing congestion, improving air quality, making parking easier and improving the health of those who use the service.

 

There are 5 cars available at different locations in Swindon.

We sent SWTV's Alastair Greener down to find out a little bit more - and drive one of the cars!

Co-Wheels Launch

We took the Co-Wheels car out for a spin a few weeks before the official launch in Swindon on Friday 01 February.

 

The Leader of Swindon Borough Council, Rod Bluh, Swindon South MP Robert Buckland, plus representatives from club supporters, Swindon Travel Choices and Sustrans were all in attendance as the car was shown off to the public in Wharf Green in Swindon town centre.
