This hotel is shutting immediately, Sir! Shock as Menzies in Swindon town centre closes without warning

 

Guests and party-goers at the Menzies Hotel in Swindon were asked to leave the premises on Friday after the hotel was closed with immediate effect.

 

Formerly The Thistle hotel and The Wiltshire before that (and the largest hotel in Swindon town centre before the arrival of the nearby Jurys Inn in 2009), it's understood that all 50 staff have been made redundant.
