M4 Lorry Crash Leaves One Dead
One lane remains closed following the incident in the early hours of this morning - SEE PICS
A lorry crash on the M4 has left one man dead.
Wiltshire Police were called to the M4 westbound between Junction 15 and Junction 16 at approximately 3.25am on Monday 23rd February 2015, following reports that a HGV had overturned into a ditch.
The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and specialist officers from Wiltshire Police are providing support.
Investigations into the cause of the incident are continuing. The hard shoulder and lane one remain closed.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the M4 between these two junctions and saw the collision.
Great Western Way
In a bad 48 hours, another serious accident occurred on Saturday night in the area of Bruce Street Bridges roundabout on the Great Western Way.
A man in his 20s had to be cut from his vehicle following a collision at around 10.55pm.
The man was taken to the Great Western Hospital where he is said to have suffered pelvic and leg injuries.
