Fatal Caravan Fire

A woman has died after a fire in a static caravan early this morning in Meadowcroft.

 

Two Swindon fire crews attended the blaze just before 7am but were unable to save a female victim after rescuing her from the scene and attempting resuscitation.

 

Unconfirmed reports point to a smoke detector not working in the caravan. An investigation is continuing.
