We speak to Edith Bowman 

Radio 1 DJ tells us her thoughts on the BBC Big Weekend

 

It's all they're talking about on Radio 1 - the BBC Big Weekend in Swindon.

 

And with only two weeks to go it's time to get excited!

 

Not only will the town play host to some amazing acts but for two days all the Radio 1 DJ's will be enjoying the event, just like us, at Lydiard Park.

 

And one Radio 1 DJ who cannot wait for the event is Edith Bowman.

 

"There's an amazing buzz around the office as time for the BBC Big Weekend gets closer," Edith told us.

 

"Especially over the last couple of days with announcement of The Prodigy playing, it's really put the cherry on the top of the cake.

 

"I've never been to Swindon before, but my boyfriends parents live nearby so we pass it quite often on the M4 - so for once it's going to be great to actually stop off and see the town.

 

"It's great to bring the BBC Big Weekend to a place like Swindon and put the spotlight on it."
