Forget the Euro elections, there's a far more important reason for the people of Swindon to vote this week.

 

For the new Miss Swindon to become Miss England!

 

Sherie Smith, our newly crowned beauty, has been selected as one of the semi-finalists for the Miss England competition, which is being held on the Miss England website.

 

Sherie who is a full-time master's student is hoping to win a place in the grand final at the London Hilton Metropole which takes place on Monday 20 July - and she needs your support to do it.

 

The reason why Sherie teamed up with our photographer Kris Talikowski to do a photo shoot at Coate Water to show why Swindon should get behind her and vote!

 

And who knows?

Every year, Miss England is selected for the finals of Miss World.
