Dilemma for McNair with Bogart Out

Opening round of The Betfair Arc

The opening round of The Betfair Arc sure dished out the surprises, with one of the ante post favourites, Droopys Bogart, out of the competition.

The Liz McNair trained son of Droopys Scolari failed to put his trapping boots on, and uncharacteristically didn’t show a great deal of early pace.

Bogart managed to run on to finish 4th behind a well running Farloe Titan.

There was some good news for the McNair camp, with Gilbeyhall Jake producing a second best time by winning his heat in 28.90.

Shaws Dilemma just qualified after finishing 3rd behind local dog Anzio and the winner of the heat Klockwork Kyla.

Westmead Osprey, trained by Nick Savva, produced the sparkling performance of the night, with an impressive 6 length victory in a good time of 28.83.

It was also a good night for the local’s, with 5 getting through.

Aintgotaclue managed a win in his heat in, with Brickfield Class, Grillagh Guru, Nats Jedi and Anzio all qualifying for the 2nd round.

2nd round

The 2nd Round of The Betfair Arc commences on Saturday 23rd January, with a full 13 race card.

First race kicks off at 19:25
