XNRG mountain bike race takes on the Ridgeway - WATCH VIDEO
Last weekend saw one of the biggest mountain bike enduro races in the UK pass through Swindon - the XNRG - an organised 200km cross-country mountain bike event which started all the way back in Wendover near the start of the Ridgeway.
The first stage and Day One ended at Ridgeway School in Wroughton, which was chosen as a race HQ and overnight stop-over for the 70 riders who took part.
The second stage saw the competitors take on the 100km return journey back to the finish line.

NRG organise some of the biggest Endurance races across the UK including Ultra Marathons like the Round the Island, which sees competitors run the complete coastline of the Isle of Wight.
The event was considered a huge success with competitors of all levels taking part, some with the aim to win and some just to complete this arduous course which saw them complete not just one length of the Ridgeway but two!
The route followed the mountain bike route of the Ridgeway path from Wendover in Buckinghamshire to Swindon in Wiltshire, and back again.
XNRG are also one of the major sponsors of Mike Buss, the Swindon-based Elite Ultra Endurance Athlete.
Mike was out on the course supporting the event as a marshal this time whilst gearing up for his next challenge to take on the SAS Pen Y Fan Endurance Challenge in May, when he takes a group of potential recruits for the Army over the course who are currently on the Wiltshire College Army Preperation Course.
