Kelly Holmes at De Vere Village 

Olympic champion joins in with excercise classes and talks about the goals that led to gold  

 

The Inspiration Suite at the De Vere Village in Swindon proved the ideal location for a talk and question-and-answer session with Dame Kelly Holmes today.

 

The double-Olympic champion was at the hotel to meet gym members, sign autographs and talk about her career and new fitness programme - Perfect Fit.

 

Dame Kelly also took the opportunity to join in on excercise classes and offer one-on-one advice on staying motivated when getting fit.

 

20 years of trying

 

Famous for winning the 800m and 1,500m finals in Athens in 2004 after twenty years of combining her army career with athletics, Dame Kelly spoke to SwindonWebTV about her involvement in her new programme, exclusively available at Village Health & Fitness.

 

"It's unique," Dame Kelly told us, "and combines motivational exercise programmes with fun, social clubs including running, walking, dancing, table tennis, golf and much more.

The De Vere Village Swindon completed an extensive £5m refurbishment in March 2011 which includes stylish new bedrooms, Starbucks coffee house, Victory pub and kitchen and Buca Di Beppo, America’s favourite Italian Restaurant, not to mention their state-of-the-art new Health and Fitness club.
