new STFC chairman-designate Jim Little

Plans of which the Chairman-to-be already has in place, the first being to reassure fans as to the future of the County Ground itself.

"It's a great pitch with a great history, and we aim to improve the experience here for everyone," commenting Mr Little.

The question of funds for manager Paul Sturrock less clear, however.
Mr Little preferring to talk in term of 'the best use of funds at the time', without fully ruling out fresh money for new players before the transfer window ends on 31 August.

"We need to walk before we can run," he added, "but we will end up running eventually."
