Life is good on the Cooper-Cabana!

Town make light work of Supermarine in pre-season local derby

RESULT: Swindon Supermarine 0 Swindon Town 3

Town scorers: Smith 9, Luongo 29, Lambin 84

Swindon Town continued their pre-season preperations with a comfortable win against local opposition Swindon Supermarine at the Webb's Wood Stadium.

Town manager Mark Cooper - looking relaxed on the sidelines (see pic. below) - put out a near full strength side against the local non-leaguers, and it soon paid off with first half strikes from Michael Smith and Massimo Luongo, who looked fresh after his World Cup adventures with Australia.

A late goal from trialist Khalil Lambin put the icing on the cake.

Town begin their home friendly fixtures at the County Ground against Southampton on Monday 21 July, with Leeds visiting 29 July.
