Swindon Town's run of three league defeats on the bounce came to an end tonight with a spirited draw at the Keepmoat Stadium.

 

It was a much more assured performance from the Wiltshire outfit all round, with Swindon seeing much of the early possession.

 

And Town made that possession count shortly into the second period thanks to the bright Nicky Ajose.

 

An inch-perfect pass from Ojamaa finding the run of the former Manchester Utd youngster, who calmly lifted the ball over the head of the on-rushing Thorsten Stuckmann.

 

The Robins could have further extended their lead moments later, Ajose again finding space only to hit his shot directly at the Doncaster keeper.

 

It was to prove costly for the visitors, and with fifteen minutes left on the clock, Rovers were level.

 

Keshi Anderson marking his home debut with a fine solo effort that Belford could only admire.

 

Doncaster were on top now, and when referee Ben Toner pointed to the spot on 80 minutes - former Swindon frontman Andy Williams stepped up to unleash further misery on the travelling County Ground faithful.

 

But despite Town's defensive frailties, they still have a steely determination, and with seconds left on the clock - up stepped Jon Obika.

 

Heading in a late Yaser Kasim corner to send the away support into raptures.

 

Town manager Mark Cooper later commented: "I'm frustrated. Their second goal isn’t a penalty - two poor decisions have let Doncaster back in. We have the willpower to get back in it. We were comfortable then they had a spell getting balls in box. The equaliser is important because we didn’t deserve to lose the game."
