Sheffield 4 Swindon 0League One
RESULT: Sheffield Utd 4 Swindon Town 0
Sheffield scorers: Duffy (52, 60), Coutts (54), Lavery (77)
With panto season in full swing, Swindon Town put in a second half defensive performance every bit as comical this afternoon.
There may have even been cries of "It's been behind you" as Lawrence Vigouroux could only watch as the ball inexplicably trickled past him for Sheffield's opener.
A second from midfielder Mark Duffy came just 2 minutes later, before Paul Coutts and substitute Caolan Lavery added to Swindon's woes.
Swindon coach Luke Williams later commented: "There were a catalogue of errors that led to our opponents hitting the target, I think we’re still suffering mentally with a group that aren’t strong enough.
“We need a serious response from the group now and they need to show us that they are prepared to go into the next game with a stronger mindset, a stronger attitude towards it and it is up to them now."
